At our annual "Day Family Picnic", one of the old folks had brought an old photo album with a bunch of old pictures. Yeah, that's what I thought! So i scanned a couple of them and here they are...

This is my Great, Great, Great, Great
Grandmother. It was her family that owned the land
on which the "Battle of Bunker Hill" was fought.

This is my Auntie Sue when she was a baby (obviously)
I don't know when this was taken, but the piano
she's sitting at is the very same piano we have in
our living room right now. Crazy I know.

(from left to right)
This is my Auntie Sue as a grown up (obviously)
And then her daughter, my cousin, Julie (I think)
And then my Gandma and her mother.

This is my family, take it or leave it.

The GRACE and MERCY of the cross

Is neither HINDERED nor OVERCOME

By the SIN and WRETCHEDNESS of my heart.

So on my way back from picking strawberries that one glorious day. I saw some rusty 'ol stuff laying around. So I snapped a few shots. I'm not really sure why, but rust really fascinates me. I think it might be because I have rusty looking hair. or something. Anyway, here they are.

I purposely didn't give them all the same color attributes, because I wanted to see the various colors of rust and it's stages. Thus, every picture is different. I like it that way.

I took this grassy pic simply because I like dew.
It turned out nice. I didn't have to edit it at all.

So this morning it was...

Juicy peaches over Honey Bunches of Oats.

So this concludes my lame accounts of what I had for breakfast. Looking back on the fun days we've had together, I just can't help but wonder. How could I have stooped so low! I mean, posting pictures of my breakfast! For crying out loud! That's the lamest of lame. The most pathetic of pathetic. or something.

Anyway, no more breakfast pics. Besides, I was getting complaints that I was making innocent bystanders hungry.

sorry.

So this morning, first thing, I strode down to our garden and picked strawberries.

They were PERFECT.

And i only picked enough for my cereal (and the walk back to the house :-)

I left excitedly.

I washed 'em. Sliced 'em. And piled 'em on.

Oh my gosh.

So good.

Thank you God for making strawberries.

They're grrrrrrreat!

Washing dishes the other day...

So I'm pretty sure this is the post you have all been waiting for...

It twas a fantastic day! The weather was nice, everyone played well, and everyone was in a good mood! (a rarity in Garvey excursions)

Normally, I like posting my photos in black and white (as you probably already know), but I just HAD to leave this in color, because... well... there was so much color. yeah. go figure. I just LOVE all the green's in them!

So anyway... let me give you a walk through. (yes, the photos are all in order. From all front 9 holes)

First we warmed up at the driving range.
We had to give David his own ball and bucket.
He behaved extremely well for a such a curious George as he.

They say he has great form, but I think he squats too much.

Dearest Leam.
He's a shy little guy.

My mom also has good form.
Notice the ball is missing.
She did actually hit it.

I have disgraceful form.
But I sure can whack that thing.

Warming up on the putting green.

uh.
Warming up on the putting green.

The "men folk" talking.

The "boy folk" talking.

"The psych-up."

A lovely couple.
Stephanie was our score keeper.

We're missing some photos at this point.
We were on the 6th hole.
Par of 3.
I made it in 2.
That's called an Eagle.
It's really good.
And it's hard to pull off.
Just thought I'd mention that.

Searching for balls.

uh.
Searching for balls.
Michael is a pretty cool looking golfer.

A self-portrait of the Garvey's as a young family.
* jungle jam *

Swing and a miss.
Just kidding.
It was a practice shot.

7th hole.
(I don't know what else to say.)

7th hole.
Panorama.

The green of the 7th hole.
When I took my second stroke to chip onto the green,
I hit it too hard and my ball flew into those white pipes over yonder.
But I recovered with nice approach and ended up with
the same amount of strokes as Michael. (7 yikes)

7th hole.

7th hole.
(I don't know why I posted so many of the 7th hole.)
Hmm...

Just a sweet pic.

"Oh, come on."
"You've got to be kidding me."

Michael Woods.

I think this is the 8th hole.

8th hole.
I was on a really tough downward slope to putt.

Stephen says I posed for this shot.
But I didn't.

I can't help it if I walk funny.

I just threw this one in so you guys knew I did
some serious editing to some of these pics.
You know, take out unwanted objects.
Like bags, ball, branches, etc.

* hope you enjoyed *
